Thousands expected at parades across county

St Patrick's Day parades are taking place in towns and villages across County Meath this afternoon.

Thousands of local residents are expected to line the streets to watch the festivities throughout the county.

Early parades are scheduled for Ratoath at 12 noon, Oldcastle at 12.15pm, Athboy 12.30pm and Kingscourt 1pm, followed by Navan at 2pm, Ashbourne 2.30pm, Enfield, Kells, Slane, Ardee and Trim, all at 3pm. Bringing up the rear is Mullagh at 5pm.
