Wellknown trim jewellery store raided by three men

Gardaí are investigating a disturbing robbery at a well-known jewellery store in Trim.

At roughly 5.15pm on Wednesday, three male raiders entered T. F. Martin Jewellers on Emmet Street and threatened staff before stealing a quantity of jewellery.

This is the second time in recent years the business has been targeted by thieves.

According to Gardaí, the suspects fled the scene in the Ballivor direction in a 2000 Cavan-registered vehicle.

The green Pajero jeep, which was painted silver along the sides and front, was found burned out roughly 20 minutes later at Boardsmill Church car park.

Gardaí have urged those who saw anything suspicious in the Emmet Street or Boardsmill areas to contact Trim Garda Station on (046) 948 1541.
