Kayleys sponsored haircut

An 11 year old Nobber girl has made an amazing contribution to two charities by having her hair cut!
Little Kayley Smyth from Nobber had her very long hair cut and then donated it to the Rapunzel Foundation charity, which makes wigs for sick children.
She was also sponsored to have her cut and raised an amazing €1,000 for the suicide charity SOSAD.
Kayley, a daughter of Keith Smyth and Caroline Cox is a student of Nobber National School and had 15 inches of hair cut for the charity.
The haircut took place in Ischia Hair and Beauty in Johnstown Shopping Centre, which is also a specialist wig centre.
Kayley’s mother, Caroline explains that Kayley decided to have her hair cut after watching a UTube video of a girl picking a wig from the Rapunzel Foundation. It took Kayley over a year to grow her hair long enough.
Her Dad is a volunteer with the SOSAD charity, which is why she decided to collect sponsorship for that organisation.
Her hair is now in an attractive bob and she is delighted with her achievement.
She recently presented a cheque for €1000 to SOSAD.
