Over 800 pilgrims from parishes across the Diocese of Meath are travelling this weekend to Lourdes, accompanied by 200 voluntary assistants.

The 67th annual Meath pilgrimage will be led by the Bishop of Meath, Dr Michael Smith, accompanied by 16 other priests of the diocese. The theme of the 2014 pilgrimage is 'The Joy Of Conversion’.
Those travelling are flying out from Dublin Airport on five charter flights today, Friday 12th September, and early on Saturday morning. Religious ceremonies will get underway on Saturday morning, with an opening Mass at the Grotto in Lourdes.
The pilgrims will return home on Wednesday 17th September after five days at the French shrine. Bishop Smith has led the pilgrimage for 31 consecutive years.
