Getting in the mood for the Pink Ribbon walk.

Pink ribbon stands at shopping centres this weekend

As the countdown to the  Boyne Valley Pink Ribbon Walk continues, there will be information stands at Navan Town Centre, Laurence Street Shopping Centre, Scotch Hall Shopping Centre and Drogheda Town Centre from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.
This will give people a chance to go along and meet the Pink Ribbon team, learn more information about the Boyne Valley Walk in Kells on Sunday 5th October or pick up an entry form - or register online at www.pinkribbonwalk.ie
Meanwhile the Meath Chronicle is sponsoring the prizes in the Boyne Valley Pink Ribbon Walk Children’s Poster Competition in conjunction with Meath County Libraries.
We want you to design a colourful poster that gets across the message that the Boyne Valley Pink Ribbon Walk is open to everyone - Mums, Dads, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends - all with the united aim of raising funds for important scientific research and to help to make sure that one day we will all live in a world without cancer.
Entry is open to both primary and secondary school students and you can pick up a free entry form in your local library which must be returned to your local library by the deadline of Monday 15th September.
Online registration for the Pink Ribbon Walks in aid of Action Breast Cancer and the Irish Cancer Society is now open on www.pinkribbonwalk.ie  and entry forms are also available in numerous outlets around Kells, Trim, Slane, Navan and Drogheda – including Specsavers outlets, The Central Navan, Antonia’s Bookstore in Trim, Kells Chamber Office, Headfort Arms Hotel, Dunnes The Premier Outlet or The Bective  or phone 046 924 0055.
