Cullinan child the inspiration for Fairy Fun Day fundraiser

Isobel (IzzyB to her friends) is the inspiration for 'Away with the Fairies'

Former Meath footballer, John Cullinan from Drumree, and his wife, Laura, who live in Roscommon, are hosting a Family Fun Day in the beautiful woodlands and grounds of Strokestown Park House on Sunday 6th July to raise much needed funds for St John’s Ward and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Their second daughter, Isobel (IzzyB), was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumour in February and they would like to help raise funds for the great work that is done in Crumlin.

The fabulously fun fairy fundraiser event will take place at the estate on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.

Strokestown Park’s Woodland will be magically transformed into a fairy woodland park for the day and children will enjoy a whole host of fun activities including a fairy tea party, fairy workshops, a fairy outdoor cinema, face painting, bouncy castles, a fun raffle, a family BBQ (weather permitting) and prizes for the best dressed boy and girl on the day.

The event is inspired by Isobel (IzzyB to her friends), who was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumour at the age of 21 months. Thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff from Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin she is now making a remarkable recovery and this event is being arranged to raise much needed funds and say thank you to the team from St John’s Ward.

The Irish Fairy Door Company will also be attending the event to entertain children with Tales of Fairy adventures in the Fairy Woodland and they have generously provided prizes of magical Fairy Doors which will be given away to some lucky boys and girls on the day!

Entry for this fantastic event is  €10 for children, €35 for a family of four or more and adults are free. All proceeds from the entry fee and raffle will go directly to the St. John’s Ward at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

There will be a 15% Discount for every family attending the event for the Irish Fairy Door Company’s online store.
