Search and rescue on River Boyne stood down

The emergency services on the scene at the Newbridge junction in Navan.

 

 

A major search and rescue operation on the River Boyne in Navan has been stood down. Reports of a young woman been seen close to the River Boyne had been made to Gardai.

The coastguard helicopter joined local gardai after the gardai received a call that the young woman may have entered the river.

The woman has been located and the alarm has been called off.
