Accommodation at a premium for Kells festivals

The Kells Bedfinder Service is currently looking for people who can provide accommodation to visitors during the Hay Festival and Kells Road Races this summer.

Accommodation will be at a premium during the Kells Hay Festival in July and Kells Road Races in June and many of the county’s hotels and B&Bs are set to be booked up.

The Kells Bedfinder Service, which provides help with finding accommodation for festival-goers, is appealing to anyone who can offer accommodation during the festival to contact it.

The Kells Bedfinder Service, which is run by the Kells and District Tourism Forum, will link visitors who need a place to stay with local B&Bs and people in the area who wish to let rooms, cottages or houses at festival time.

The Hay Festival website will send enquiries directly to their site and, when members of the public contact them to find a bed, they will match them to a selection of accommodation best suited to their needs.

Property owners can register their available accommodation by logging onto www.visitingkells.ie, emailing beds@visitingkells.ie or telephone 087 706 4421 / 085 270 5675.
