Massive fire raging in Ardee

At least three fire engines are at the scene of a massive blaze at the Finlays coffin manufacturing plant in Tierney Street, Ardee.
Emergency services are still arriving at the scene and gardai are closing off the streets to traffic as firefighters try to control the blaze, which is sweeping through the buildings and sheds at the premises.
Ardee, Dunleer and Dundalk fire fighters are already at the scene along with a number of ambulances. Gardai from Ardee and Dundalk have cordoned off the area.
Residents of nearby Moorehall Lodge Nursing Home have been evacuated from the main nursing home and moved to a safer location within the retirement complex.
Traffic has come to a virtual standstill in the town with road closures in the immediate area causing chaos for rush hour traffic.
Established in 1933, Finlays manufactures and supplies coffins as well as providing a funeral home and undertaking service.
