Christy Moore for Kells

The legedary Christy Moore will perform in the St Vincent De Paul Theatre, Kells next month.
It is four years since the folk star played in Kells and he is as popular as ever, having sold out six nights in Vicar Street and two nights in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre over Christmas and New Year.
Local fans can look forward to seeing the legend in the more intimate setting of the Kells Theatre on Saturday 22nd March.
Tickets go on sale directly from the theatre from 10am on Thursday next 20th February and are priced at €40 each. Telephone bookings can be made at 046-9252405 and there is no booking fee.
The theatre has just finished a run of the very successful Kells panto, Pirates of the Carribean, by Kells Musical and Dramatic Society.
The St Vincent De Paul Theatre celebrated its 100th birthday late last year, with an exhibition of theatre memorabilia and a DVD of nostalgia.
Christy Moore has recorded a phenomenal 30 albums and still continues to entertain, cementing him as an Irish icon.
He is one of the founding members of Planxty and Moving Hearts and his first album, Paddy on the Road was recorded with Dominic Behan in 1969.
