Tóibín re-appointed SF spokesperson on trade

Meath West TD,  Peadar Toibín, has been re-appointed as the Sinn Fein Spokesperson on Trade, Jobs, Innovation and the Irish Language.
Deputy Tóibín rejoined Sinn Fein two weeks ago, six months after his suspension from the party following his vote against the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill.
Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh said “I am pleased to announce Deputy Toibín’s re-appointment as spokesperson for these very important portfolios and look forward to working with him in the future on behalf of Sinn Féin and all those citizens we represent.”
Deputy Tóibín said recently that for the past six months, he would have loved to have been working for the party, and he was delighted to rejoin it.
“I have done my best over the past six months to represent my constituents,” he added.
Deputy Tóibín voted against the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill last June, defying the Sinn Fein party whip and was suspended from the party. He said at the time he would not consider joining any other party.
