Traffic diversions following Slane road accident

A number of people were injured and taken to hospital following a two car collision at Wiggers Cross on the Slane/Navan road this morning.

None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening.

There were long delays on the road following the accident which occurred around 7.40am and traffic diversions were put in place in Slane and Navan.

It took some time before the road was fully opened again, when the cars were removed and oil on the road was cleared up.

Navan Gardai are investigating the incident.
