Intel hosts Sponsors of Tomorrow Technology Expo

The Intel campus in Leixlip this week opened its doors and welcomed the public to share in the Sponsors of Tomorrow Technology Expo. 

It provided a showcase of some of the remarkable products and innovations that are enabled by Intel technology.

The Sponsors of Tomorrow Technology Expo travels the world visiting numerous Intel sites where employees can engage with the latest technology and this year as it visited the Leixlip campus it was for the first time open to the general public.

Almost 200 members of the public joined in the event where they had the chance to check out Intel powered smartphones, to see impressive products from the latest Intel® Core™ processor family including Ultrabooks™, to witness Intel® Wireless Display and experience the latest Extreme Gaming Systems.

Also on display at the event were demonstrations of some of Intel’s latest technology innovations including perceptual computing which enables devices to perceive our actions, such as speech recognition, hand gestures and face tracking, in order to carry out commands.

In addition to the numerous displays and demos on the evening, all those in attendance had the chance to win some fantastic prizes including a Lenovo Yoga Ultrabook, a Prestigio Multiphone and a Motorola RAZRi smartphone.

Winners of the competition were Tim Healy, Joan Murphy, Amy Ward and Jessica Eluka.

Intel Communications Manager Sarah Sexton said: “Some of the most complex and advanced devices on the planet today are being enabled by the people working right here in Leixlip and we were delighted to have the opportunity to share some of these incredible innovations with the general public and to welcome them here to the Intel campus”.
