'Support Your Colours' for Temple Street

Following a sports filled weekend, Leinster Rugby star Rhys Ruddock and GAA heroes Kieran McGeeney, Bernard Brogan, Stephen Cluxton and Ciaran McKeever descended onto the pitch in Croke Park to launch Temple Street Children’s University Hospital’s ‘Support Your Colours Ball’.

Sponsored by Mercury Engineering, the ‘Support Your Colours Ball’ will take place in the Cusack Suite at Croke Park on Saturday 21st September 2013 (All Ireland Final Weekend). Tickets for this hugely popular event are only €100 per person and all proceeds will go towards the purchase of vital life saving equipment. It is hoped the event will raise €40,000.

The evening will commence with a lively reception at 7.30pm followed by dinner, live music and entertainment with plenty of sporting banter and a whole lot more throughout the night Guests are encouraged to wear their team colours. We are delighted that Michael Lyster will be MC for the evening and Michael Corcoran has taken on the role of quizmaster for Ireland’s biggest sporting table quiz.

Guests can expect to rub shoulders with an array of sports stars from all over Ireland who will ‘tog out’ to support this unique and worthwhile event.

Denise Fitzgerald, CEO of the Fundraising Office said, “The Ball is a celebration of Ireland’s sporting achievements and is a great way to spend the eve of the All Ireland Final; the atmosphere will be electric. We are very grateful to Mercury for their continued support of our ‘Support Your Colours Ball’ again this year. On behalf of our special little patients – thank you.”

This is the third year that Mercury has come on board as title sponsor. Speaking about the event, Frank Matthews Director of Ireland said, “Mercury Engineering is once again delighted to be sponsoring the ‘Support Your Colours Ball’ for Temple Street. We have attended the ball in previous years and it is great night of sporting fun & entertainment. More importantly, it is about raising much needed funds for Temple Street. The on-going work they do in saving and improving the lives of tens of thousands of sick children is invaluable and we are honored to show our support for this very special event.”
