Meath candidates elected to FF national executive

Two Meath Fianna Fáil members were elected to the party’s governing body, the Ard Comhairle, at the party’s 74th Ard Fheis at the weekend.
25 year-old Eoin Muldoon from Dunboyne and 34 year-old Marguerite Fitzpatrick from Navan have been elected to the Committee of 20 of the Ard Comhairle (National Executive).
Eoin is a sales manager in his family business and is currently studying for a Masters in Social Policy and ran on a platform of membership representation, retention and recruitment. He has already worked to increase membership and particularly aims to engender policy engagement from the grassroots.  Marguerite is a lifelong, active member of the party who strongly advocates major reform of the party’s internal structures to empowering members and reconnect with the public in communities in Meath and across the country.
Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin said “I want to congratulate Eoin and Marguerite on their election to the Fianna Fáil Ard Comhairle, in what was a highly competitive race.  I am confident that they will play an important part in key organisational and policy decisions over the next year.  I know Marguerite and Eoin will be an important and positive addition to the executive and I look forward to working with them both,” Deputy Martin said.
Twenty-four candidates ran for the 20 positions.
