Novel kitty speed dating event in Navan

Minnie and Florence, two of the kittens who will be seeking homes on Saturday.

The Last Hope Animal Charity will host a novel Valentine's event this Saturday, as kitty speed dating comes to Navan's Claremont Stadium.

The event, which takes place between 2pm and 5pm, will give people the opportunity to meet some of the gorgeous cats that Last Hope have in their care.

Those interested in a meeting their 'purr-fect companion' can send their details to before the date, or complete an adoption form on the day.

All potential adopters will be subject to a home visit prior to adopting so if you are hoping to take a cat home on the day, please send an adoption form to Last Hope by 12th February to allow volunteers to complete a home visit.

Last Hope is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of domestic animals. It is based in Navan and operates with a team of volunteers from Meath and the surrounding areas.

In 2012, 130 dogs and puppies were rescued, along with 85 kittens and cats, 15 rabbits, 2 turtles, a ferret and a rooster.
