O'Mahonys face Moynalvey in opener

Navan O'Mahonys captain Marcus Brennan with the Keegan Cup after the final victory over Wolfe Tones.

Defending Keegan Cup champions Navan O'Mahonys will face Moynalvey in the first round of the Meath SFC as they bid to retain the trophy they won a few short months ago.

The draws for the new-look 2013 Meath football championships took place at Áras Tailteann tonight and produced some potentially exciting first round encounters with Sen.eschalstown v Duleek/Bellewstown the pick of them.

Teams will also have to guard against getting drawn into a relegation battle with one team set for the drop. The bottom team in each group will be involved in a play-off.

The draws for the first rounds of the football and hurling championships are listed below.


A - Nobber v Walterstown; Duleek/Bellewstown v Seneschalstown; Navan O'Mahonys v Moynalvey.

B - Skryne v Summerhill; Rathkenny v Oldcastle; St Patrick's v Donaghmore/Ashbourne.
