Supporters leaving Páirc Táilteann this evening were delayed and diverted due to a fire in a business premises at Brews Hill outside the stadium.

After some members of the public noticed thick black smoke billowing through a security shutter from the property the Gardai were alerted.

Members of the gardai attempted to gain access to the building to establish if there was anyone in the premises.

Minutes later two units from the local fire service arrived and made an opening in the security shutter to assist access to the building.

The fire was then dealt with, but at this stage it is not clear if there was anyone in the property.

The area around Brews Hill was closed for some time ahortly after 9pm.
