Santa Swim launched at aquatic centre

RTE Tots presenter Emma O'Driscoll, Irish Olympic swimmer Aisling Cooney and former Dublin footballer Ciaran Whelan were on hand at the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown today to launch St Michael's House Santa Swim. St Michael's House, Ireland's largest provider of community based services for people with an intellectual disability, launched the fourth annual Santa Swim in an attempt to pack Santa's sleigh with educational and sporting equipment for St Michael's House in time for Christmas! Following the success of last year's Santa Swim, the event will take place on Saturday 1st December at 10am in Aqua Zone at the National Aquatic Centre. St Michael's House is urging everyone to get involved in the family fun day. Volunteers from Grafton Street's Disney store will also be on hand to create Christmas snowflakes and there will also be half price admission fee to Aqua Zone at the National Aquatic Centre.
