Kevin Doyle is Special Olympics ambassador for region

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Republic of Ireland footballer Kevin Doyle has become an ambassador for the Special Oympiccs Leinster region's sports training and competition programme. In this role Kevin, from Wexford, will help to promote the abilities of the 1,962 athletes who participate in the Special Olympics programme in Leinster. In addition he will actively promote the Leinster Regional Competition Events, which will run from January to June 2013. Annette Codd, regional director Special Olympics Leinster said: "We are delighted that Kevin has become an ambassador for Special Olympics Leinster. Football is a hugely popular sport amongst our athletes and having the support of a footballer of Kevin's calibre will be a significant source of encouragement and inspiration all of our athletes".
