Lagan Brick workers accept redundancy deal

Lagan Brick workers in Kingscourt have voted to accept a redundancy offer from management bringing their 272 day protest to an end. The 25 SIPTU members had been staging a round-the-clock protest at the gates of the Kingscourt plant since last December. According to SIPTU's John Regan, the deal voted on last night (Wednesday) by members was an improvement on previous offers by the company. The terms of the redundancy agreement have not been revealed.
