Celtic Tenors concert kicks off Pink Ribbon Walk fundraising this weekend

A gala concert by the internationally acclaimed Celtic Tenors in the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells, this Saturday will be the spectacular first event in the Kells Pink Ribbon Walk fundraiser for 2012.  The Celtic Tenors, including local talent Matthew Gilsenan from Moynalty, have enjoyed total album sales worldwide of over one million, they have topped the charts in the USA, Canada, Germany, the UK and Ireland and their international touring schedule featured a recent sell-out tour in the USA. The aim of the Pink Ribbon Walk is to raise funds for Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, while increasing breast cancer awareness and promoting exercise and a healthier lifestyle. Since the first event in 2009, the Kells Pink Ribbon Walk has attracted over 1,600 walkers, more than 100 volunteers and has raised a staggering €235,000 for Action Breast Cancer.
