Top flat jockey Murtagh bereaved

The death has taken place of Michéal Murtagh, father of leading flat jockey Johnny Murtagh, from Bohermeen, Navan.
Mr Murtagh, who had been ill for some time, died peacefully at his residence, Faughan Hill, Bohermeen, on Sunday.
He is reposing at his residence from 2pm on Tuesday, 9th August with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 11.30 am to arrive in St Ultan's Church, Bohermeen for 12 Mass, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only are requested, with donations in lieu to the Irish Cancer Society.
