Taoiseach reschedules visit to Meath

Brian Cowen, who will be in Meath and Westmeath on Friday, with Richie Healy at the recent FF function.
Taoiseach Brian Cowen is expected to carry out his rescheduled visit to Meath this Friday, 19th February.
Mr Cowen was scheduled to carry out a tour of Meath West on 29th January last, but had to cancel it as the talks in Northern Ireland were ongoing and both himself and British Prime Minister Gordon Browne had to remain on standby for developments.
The cancelled tour was to take in a sod-turning for a new school site at Clonmellon National School, as well as a visit to Tara Mines in Navan and a meeting with the business community in Trim.
He did get in part of that trip in January to honour former Fianna Fail director of elections, Richie Healy, at a party function.
