Call to use Kells recycling centre

Profile by John Feeney  Updated: Tuesday, 23rd December, 2008 8:15am

The extended opening of Kells Recycling Centre over the festive period was welcomed by local Fine Gael town council candidate Sarah Reilly.

The half-day opening both on Christmas Eve and New Year"s Eve would be very helpful, as was the recycling of Christmas trees provision from 5th to 17th January, she said. Her party would campaign strongly on green issues, she said, welcoming the planned introduction of the brown bin in 2009, enabling a fairer pay per weight system. Locals should recognise the savings from recycling more, given that the Kells centre"s user levels stood at just a quarter of the recycling centres in Trim and Navan, added the FG candidate.
