Trevor Smith brings the Garth Brooks Experience to The Palace in Navan on Friday night.
The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience, fronted by Ballivor man Trevor Smith, is in Navan this week when it stages in The Palace on Friday 29th January.
Smith's backing band is 'The Fever' and has local musician Ken Gillick on lead guitar. Athboy man David Arkins is on guitar, Dan Daly from Navan is drummer, Conor Mulhall from Mullagh is on keyboards, Westmeath man Pete Mulkearns plays the fiddle and Mick McDonald from Dublin is on bass guitar.
The show consists of all the hits of American country music legend Garth Brooks who rose to fame worldwide in the early 1990s with his own brand of country music which spawned such classic songs as 'If Tomorrow Never Comes', 'Friends In Low Places', 'The Dance', 'Unanswered Prayers', 'Shameless' and many more.
Admission is €10 and doors for this gig open at 10pm with the band on stage at 10.30pm on Friday.
€10,000 talent prize fund
The Palace Bar in Navan is running what it calls the biggest talent competition to hit Meath, starting on Thursday 4th February in the Piano Bar and running every Thursday for 16 weeks. Everybody's welcome and entry is free, with backing music from The Arrangements.
