Bin clean idea becomes a business

One of Meath County Enterprise Board's successful clients is Alan Cahill, Leigh Valley, Ratoath, pictured being congratulated by Cllr Nick Killian on the setting up of his business initiative, Binclean.ie "When Alan first approached me on the setting up of his then idea, I fully encouraged Alan to pursue his objective in setting up this much-needed service for householders in Meath," Cllr Killian said. "With a start-up grant and the support of Hugh Reilly from the Meath County Enterprise Board and from First Step, Alan has been able to put together an excellent business plan and is now operational with his mobile bin cleaning service to households in Meath." Bin Clean offers a convenient hygienic and environmentally bin-cleaning service to both domestic and commercial customers, particularly in the food service industry. A household can have a bin washed, cleaned and sanitised for €5. Cllr Killian added: "I wish Alan and his wife, Martina, every success with this venture, as Alan, through the recession, found himself unemployed and, after quite an amount of research, founded binclean.ie "I congratulate Alan on his courage in setting up in business at this difficult time and would encourage others in a similar situation, that if you have an idea, talk to the Meath County Enterprise Board in Navan."
