Byrne conducts orchestra in NCH

Navan composer Brian Byrne is back from Los Angeles to conduct the RTE National Symphony Orchestra in the National Concert Hall on Friday night, 20th July.

He'll be joined by vocalists Willie Byrne and Claire Martin.

Symphony orchestra power backed by Big Band panache makes for unforgettable entertainment to celebrate the Great American Songbook in swinging style.

Scintillating new arrangements of the evergreen Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Hoagy Carmichael’s I Get Along Without You Very Well and classics from West Side Story, Summer Stock and Mr Wonderful draw on the inimitable talents of outstanding vocalists Claire Martin and William Byrne to set hearts racing and feet tapping.

Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne pays tribute to Martin Luther King on the 50th anniversary of his death and to Leonard Bernstein on the centenary of his birth together with excerpts from Goldenhair, his critically acclaimed setting of James Joyce.
