Contemporary look at 'Will Shakespeare'

A seductive new series, 'Will'  starring Colm Meaney, kicks off tomorrow night, Wednesday 18th April, on be3 at 9pm.

Virgin Media customers need not wait in suspense for the next episode as they will have the opportunity to binge-watch the entire season on Virgin TV On Demand.

Will is a clever, crude and highly entertaining series which takes a contemporary and modern look at the life of William Shakespeare.

In episode one, the drama opens and its 1589, a time of religious turmoil in Protestant England, a time when to be a Catholic could be a death sentence.

Will Shakespeare (Laurie Davidson) arrives from the small town of Stratford to the wild streets of London with little more than a dream and a treacherous letter.

Within the context of London’s electric punk-rock theatre scene, the plot unfolds to reveal Will’s grapple with his desire to remain true to his Catholicism in a city hostile to these religious beliefs.

The first episode of Will airs on be3 tomorrow night, Wednesday 18th April at 9pm.

All episodes will be available to watch on Virgin TV On Demand from Wednesday 18th April.
