Sound of Pearse to be heard in St Enda's again

St Enda's Park in Rathfarnham will echo to the sound of Patrick Pearse's words on Sunday next, 27th August,  between 2pm and 5pm. A specially commissioned sound walk will be broadcast from three historic 18th century structures dotted about the park. This event will mark the culmination of the 2017 Heritage Week Programme in the Pearse Museum and St. Enda's Park.

Patrick Pearse and St Enda's Park, Rathfarnham inspired sound artist Jimmy Eadie to create this unique sound piece. Visitors to St. Enda's Park are encouraged to listen to the sound walk as they follow in the footsteps of Patrick Pearse and his pupils. Combining sounds, music and Pearse's own words, the walk can be downloaded from the Pearse Museum and St. Enda's Park website - http://pearsemuseum.ie/soundwalk

Sunday will be the first time that the sound walk will be broadcast aloud within the park and it promises to be a unique and evocative event.

The sound walk features Andrew Bennett, as Patrick Pearse, and the voice of young people from Gaelcoláiste an Phiarsaigh, Rathfarnham and Tallaght Community Arts.
