Get 'All Shook Up' in Navan this week

St Mary’s Musical Society this week presents 'All Shook Up', a musical show that promises to have you toe-tapping in your blue suede shoes.
Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, this rock’n’roll production is set in mid-town America in 1955, where music and fun are frowned upon by Mayor Matilda (played by Mary Murphy). However, her perfectly run town gets All Shook Up when in rides a guitar-playing roustabout called Chad (played by Kevin Hartnett) who changes everything and everyone he meets, causing a few hearts to flutter especially that of Eimear Donnelly who plays Natalie, his motorbike mechanic who has to compete for his affections against the gorgeous Miss Sandra, played by Ciara O’Donoghue, last years Sugar Kane in Some Like it Hot.
The older members of the society are reliving the joy of the music of Elvis, while the younger members are starting to understand why Elvis was known as “the King of Rock’n’Roll”.
This hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy features such classics as 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'Jailhouse Rock', and 'Devil in Disguise'. With a line up cast also featuring Caithriona Mongey, Sean Flanagan, Barry Murray and Ultan O’Cinnéide, you Can’t Help Falling in Love with this year’s production.
Show dates are Wednesday 26th April to Sunday 30th April, tickets from Solstice Box Office on (046) 909 2300. Tickets are €20; €15 Wednesday.
