Revels return to Rathkenny

Stackallen Rathkenny Musical Society returns home this week with its production of the Rathkenny Revels variety show.

It runs in Rathkenny Hall on Thursday and Friday, 30th and 31st March and 1st and 2nd April at 8pm, and Sunday 2nd April with a matinee at 3pm. The cast and crew are very excited about returning to the local hall which is noted for the hospitality and community spirit that it extends to all visitors and patrons.

Led by chairman JJ Price, Henry Byrne and Enda Nugent, a dedicated team have carried out extra work over the past few months to facilitate Revels returning to its roots in the hall in conjunction with the hall management team. Improvements to the car parking facility last autumn were also part of the joint initiative by the hall committee and the Revels.

This year’s show is a magic mix of everything that is excellent in music, song and dance. Expect to see Les Miserables, Broadway, Remembering Francis Ledwidge, comedy that covers a multitude of great topics and the best of fun, great dancing in a plethora of exciting tunes and rhythms and choral pieces to warm the heart and much more.

This year Revels celebrate 53 years of unbroken service in the tradition of always staging an annual variety show. For the past few years they enjoyed great success in Solstice Theatre Navan and TLT Drogheda. A warm welcome awaits you in Rathkenny.
