Bryan Ferry - Olympia on 8th June.

Bryan Ferry for Olympia

Bryan Ferry has announced a Dublin date at The Olympia Theatre on 8th June as part of his European Tour.

Ferry’s last Irish concert was a sold out show at Belfast’s Waterfront last May, where the Irish News reported “Oozing class and confidence, Ferry proves he can still get us in the groove”.

This highly anticipated show will feature a fantastic set list that combines both Roxy Music and solo hits and will include songs from Ferry’s recent critically acclaimed release ‘Avonmore’, described as “his best album in 30 years”.

Ferry’s shows so far this year have seduced a new generation of fans and received unanimously rave reviews with the likes of Mail on Sunday’s EVENT (*****) stating ‘Ferry has style, as everybody says, but also soul and subtlety and stamina. Maybe this man is worth more than a CBE’, with The Independent (****) calling the show ‘simply thrilling’.

From his earliest recordings with his group Roxy Music, at the beginning of the 1970s, Bryan Ferry has taken his place as one of the most iconic and innovative singers and lyricists to emerge in popular music. In his music you hear an original vocal brilliance which merges – with effortless, breathtaking elegance – the poise of Sinatra, the charisma of Gainsbourg and the intensity of Johnnie Ray. But then there was something extra – a quality of nuance, verve and performance which seemed so ultra-modern, and so refined, that it seemed to break wholly new ground.

Tickets from €71.50 including booking fee and resoration levy go on sale on Thursday 4th February at 9am via Ticketmaster.
