Menopause comes to Meath!

Coming to Navan and Ratoath is ‘Menopause The Musical’, an hilarious celebration of women and ‘The Change’. The all-singing, all-dancing comedy brings together four women (at a department stores lingerie sale), who have nothing in common but a black lace bra and hot flushes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex, plastic surgery and more!
GFour Productions LLC ‘Menopause The Musical’ will star Mary Byrne (X Factor), Linda Nolan (The Nolans) and Sue Collins (The Nualas).
Mary Byrne’s story is the stuff of fairy tales and movies. She’s the Tesco supermarket checkout lady who took a chance in life at the age of 50 by auditioning for Britain and Ireland’s biggest TV talent show, ‘X Factor’. Although she was pipped for a place in the 2010 final, Mary won the hearts of millions with her big, warm personality and powerhouse voice.
Following X Factor, her albums ‘Mine and Yours’ and ‘With Love’ went to the top of the charts making with multi-platinum sales.  Her latest album ‘Magic Of The Musicals’ reached the Top Ten in the Irish CD charts.
Mary made her theatrical stage début as “Teen Angel” on the smash hit West End Show “Grease - The Musical”. Having been  bitten by the acting bug, she is eager and excited to be back on the theatre stage to perform in “Menopause - The Musical”.
Linda Nolan’s wealth of experience in show business has embraced hit records, international television shows, major world concert tours and appearances with the world’s most popular superstars.
Whilst performing with her sisters, Linda enjoyed amazing success worldwide appearing on every major television show including The Royal Variety Show.  The Nolans received over twenty gold, silver and platinum discs with album and single sales topping over eight million.
Since she embarked on her solo career in 1983 Linda has continued to enjoy outstanding success in every medium of the entertainment industry.  Linda had resounding success in the starring role of ‘Maggie May’, a role which she recreated for over 1000 performances at The Central Pier Theatre, Blackpool and won Female Vocalist of The Year.  She has starred as Mrs Johnstone in ‘Blood Brothers’ both on tour in the UK and in London’s West End.
Sue Collins trained at the Dublin School of Acting and co-founded ‘The Nualas’ in 1995, an act which became a huge success until they disbanded in late 2001. The Nualas reformed in 2010 and have been touring Ireland successfully for the last couple of years including an appearance with their huge comeback hit comedy song ‘Yummy Mummy blues’ on The Late Late show.        
As a solo artist, Sue regularly wrote and performed sketches on the radio show ‘Stand-up sketches’ for RTE radio, plus a half hour comedy special The Plunkett-Murphys in the ‘Stand-up story’ series for RTE, a one woman comedy show ‘Only Gorgeous’ and produced and toured with Funny Girls, an all-woman comedy show, performing her latest creation ‘Carmel’ which she also brought to The Cat Laughs comedy festival and most recently she appeared on ‘Liffey Laughs’ (RTE).
‘Menopause The Musical’ has just finished an enormously successful Irish tour. Producers were inundated with requests for the show to visit or revisit venues, so they put the question out on social media asking audiences to let them know where they think the 2016 tour should play. Based on this and on requests from theatres themselves the producers selected the 2016 venues. are delighted to announce details of the venues ‘Menopause The Musical’ will play in 2016.

Mary Byrne

Mary Byrne’s story is the stuff of fairy tales and movies. And when she finally got her life-changing break in the world of show-business, Mary Byrne, a bright and ambitious woman with a wealth of life’s experiences under her belt, was determined to make the most of it. Having reached the semi-finals of ' X-Factor', Mary was mentored by Louis Walsh, and her fellow finalists included One Direction and Matt Cardle. In 2011 Mary performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her historic State visit to Ireland, and later shared the stage with Neil Diamond to perform for over 55,000 fans at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

Mary continues to be in great demand, performing live on a regular basis to audiences in Ireland, Europe and America. Linda Nolan

Linda Nolan's wealth of experience in show business has embraced hit records, international television shows, major world concert tours and appearances with the world's most popular superstars.

Whilst performing with her sisters Linda has enjoyed amazing success worldwide appearing on every major television show includingThe Royal Variety Show. The Nolans received over twenty gold, silver and platinum discs with album and single sales topping over 8 million. The girls won the much coveted Tokyo Music Festival Grand Prize and in 1975 were the supporting act for Frank Sinatra on his European Tour. The Nolans toured the UK and Ireland in 2009 with their I’m In The Mood Again tour and performed on BBC’s Children In Need.

Since she embarked on her solo career in 1983 Linda has continued to enjoy outstanding success in every medium of the entertainment industry. Highlights have included British Theatre Tours with Lily Savage in Prisoner Cell Block H, Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer in Shooting Stars, Gene Pitney, Mike Yarwood, Cannon & Ball, Little & Large, The Grumbleweeds, starring roles in Back To Bacharach, We’ll Meet Again and Pump Boys & Dinettes.

Her television appearances have been many and varied, they include: Loose Women, GMTV, This Morning, The Weakest Link, Weekend Watchdog, Question of Pop, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Noel’s House Party, Gayles World, The Brian Conley Show, The Word, Kelly Show, The Paul O’Grady Show, The Late Late Show, The One Show, Des O’Connor, Come Dine With Me and she also appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother famously falling out very badly with the eventual winner, Jim Davidson.

Linda has starred as Mrs. Johnstone in the award winning musical Blood Brothers both on tour in the UK and in London’s West End.

Sue Collins

Sue Collins trained at the Dublin School of Acting and co-founded 'The Nualas' in 1995, an act which became a huge success until they disbanded in late 2001. During this time, The Nualas performed all over the world, most notably The Royal Albert Hall London, a sell-out seven week run at The Irish Arts Centre, New York, The Edinburgh Festival and The Olympia Theatre in Dublin as well as other venues across the UK, Ireland, Australia and Asia. They appeared on television and radio programmes (The Ned Sherrin Show, Edinburgh Nights, The Arts Show BBC World Service) and wrote and performed two six-part series for BBC Radio Four. The Nualas reformed in 2010 and have been touring Ireland successfully for the last couple of years including an appearance with their huge comeback hit comedy song 'Yummy Mummy blues' on The Late Late show for RTE.

Television credits include Raw (RTE), Soupy Norman (RTE), Raising Children, The School Run (TV3), Badly Drawn Roy (BBC), vexed for (BBC). Sue starred in RTE's new mock-doc comedy Inside the Crystal Ball with Pat Shortt and featured in the long running comedy show Mattie . She most recently appeared in The Center for RTE as Kathleen.
