Indian summer of movies on tattersalls lawn

Shake up your weekend with something a little different – rather than the usual movie and a burger in your local omniplex, take a trip to Tattersalls Country House and watch a themed Indian Summer movie on the lawn, outdoors under the stars!

Indian Summer is the second in a new season of movie nights at Tattersalls Country House, opposite Fairyhouse Racecourse in Ratoath.

On Friday August 21st at 9 pm, Indian Summer at Tattersalls Country House continues the movie nights season with the first of two Indian-themed films – The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, a charming, funny and heartwarming movie that makes exceptional use of some superb veteran actors, including Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy and Tom Wilkinson. Also starring fresh young talent Dev Patel in his highest profile role since Slumdog Millionaire, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a delightful, droll and entertaining comedy of manners set in a shimmering, jewel-coloured India.

Set in a darker, more forbidding version of India is the second movie in the Indian Summer season at Tattersalls – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – showing the following night, Saturday August 22nd, at 9 pm. This legendary American adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg is the second installment in the Indiana Jones franchise and is a cheerfully exciting, bizarre, goofy, romantic adventure movie with much ingenuity and plenty of over-the-top cartoon violence.

Tickets cost €10 per person for the movie. Kerala Kitchen will be serving their gorgeous Indian food and there will be plenty of other foodie treats to enjoy too.

On the lawn directly in front of the handsome country house, Indian Summer at Tattersalls Country House on Friday August 21st and Saturday August 22nd is the second event in this movie nights series and tickets are available onwww.tattersallscountryhouse.ie/movies
