Red Queen Contest are playing Beggy's the night before Christmas Eve.

Red queen christmas at beggys

After yet another successful year, the ever exuberant Red Queen Contest bring their electric live show home to Navan with a very special Christmas gig to take place in Beggy’s, Navan on Tuesday 23rd December.
Having gained exposure and added to their popularity throughout 2014 with extensive touring to promote their eponymous debut album the group have played festivals such as the Light Colour
Sound in Kilkenny and the highly regarded showcase festival Hard Working Class Heroes.
A year that has also seen them gain considerable radio play with shows such as the hugely popular 'The Paul McLoone Show’  on Today FM championing the band, including having them in for a prestigious live session in July.
The group is made up of local natives and lifelong friends Cormac 'Beef’ O’Keefe and Paul 'Clarkie’ Clarke who share the duties of lead guitar and lead vocals with a telepathic like efficiency.
The rhythm section tasked with propelling these sonic soundscapes forward comprises of metronomic powerhouse Barry Fitzgerald (drums and backing harmonies) and slick groove master Paddy Smyth (bass guitar).
The band are set to take to the stage at 10pm and there is a bar extension with Klone Radio DJ’s supplying funky disco beats late into the night so it seems Christmas will come early this year for music fans in Beggy’s on 23rd December.
