Comedian Niamh Marron.

Central comedy on Friday

The Central hosts a special one-off Friday night edition of Navan Laughs on 6th June featuring a myriad of up-and-coming comedy stars.

Eric Lalor, Entertainment.ie's Comedian of the Year for the past two years, heads the bill. Lalor shot to fame under the tutelage of Des Bishop in RTE's 'Joy in the Hood' and has gone on to become one of Ireland's most sought-after comedians. He's a regular at all the big comedy festivals and is an increasing presence on our TV screens in the likes of The Craig Doyle Show and Next Week's News.

Another TV star in the making, Niamh Marron, returns after performing a wonderful set at Navan Laughs last summer. Since then, she's been a finalist on the RTE New Comedy Awards, appeared on BBC's Monumental and has become a regular on various TV3 shows. Colm Tyrell, another RTE New Comedy Award finalist, completes the bill. Tyrell has won a number of Irish new comedy awards and was recently chose to support comedy giant Kevin Bridges.

Tickets are available from The Central and www.ticketstop.ie for €10 or the regular Comedy Meal De is available for €25. Call 046 9027999 for bookings. The gig will kick off at the earlier than usual time of 8pm, with doors open at 7:30 sharp.
