Five nights of 'Evita' in Trim

Those involved with Trim Musical Society are about to fulfill a dream by staging the world renowned musical 'Evita.’ 'Evita’ is regarded as one of the finest works produced by the musical writing duo Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It has been described as a “monumental show with passion, endless emotion and style.” 

 'Evita’ tells the story of Eva Peron, the wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron. 'Evita’ follows Eva’s journey from humble beginnings to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status. 'Evita’ features some of the best loved songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry for me Argentina, On this Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.

The musical is set in Bueno Aries in the 1940s/’50s, home of the famous Argentine tango. Audiences wil be treated to authentic dance routines, captivating orchestral arrangements and singing from Trim’s National Award winning Musical Society chorus. Many of the cast have made a return to the stage for this year’s 'Evita’ namely Helen McHugh, as Eva Peron, Sean Fox as Juan Peron, Colin Flynn as Magaldi, Kevin Fagan as Che and Danielle Williamson as The Mistress.

Ticket booking has started for 'Evita’ which runs from Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd February. Tickets for opening night (concession night) are €15 and €12 for students.
