Fruitcake in Ballinlough this week

Starring Mary McEvoy, Fruitcake starts off as a cookery demonstration but is in fact an account of one woman's life and how each ingredient reminds her of past memories and decisions made which ultimately changed the course of her life. Even though some lessons came late she now lives a fruitful, productive life because of this. Funny and poignant, this play has something in it for everyone. Fruitcake, written by Alice Barry, will be staged in Ballinlough Community Centre on December 1st at 8pm. Also on the night there is a musical performance by Helen Sherlock and Harry Long. Tea/coffee and refreshments included in ticket prices of €12.50 each. For booking, please contact Eileen on 087 8072527. All proceeds in aid of Ballinlough National School.
