A full recount has been called in Trim.

 

In the initial count, Sinn Fein's Caroline Lynch has topped the poll in the Trim Electoral area to be elected on the first count. Lynch polled 1,635 first preference votes, bringing her above the quota of 1,400.

Independent Trevor Golden has been elected on the fifth count.

Sitting Labour councillor Tracey McElhinney has been eliminated on the sixth count.
